Isabel here! I am deeply sorry for the lack in posts recently. I just want to apologize, because I miss posting and sharing everything my heart adores.
It is just that finals week is upon me, and I am very busy and basically spending my time studying. Also, a tragedy struck my community on Friday, which has just added to the chaotic mess.
Please keep my community in your thoughts and prayers!
A post will be up by either Thursday night or sometime Friday. Again, I am so incredibly sorry! Thank you all for understanding, it means the world! xxx.

Roarin' Twenties
The 20’s. One of the most well-known eras in American history. Not only is it known for it’s glamorous fashion, but also for it’s grandeur parties, the boom of the Stock Market, and the fantastical feel of everyday life.
The 20’s have always been one of, if not, my favorite time periods. The glitz and glamour of everyday life has always fascinated me. The fashion during this time makes me wish that it was still around today.
With the idea of freedom sprouting in women’s minds, fashion evolved into an array of fringe, short skirts, sequins, and high heels. Women began to speak through fashion. After centuries of high necked dresses with long ballgowns that weighed on their chests, women finally broke free in the twenties.
Some classic examples of 20’s fashion are, of course, the flappers. With their flouncy dresses, feather hair accessories, and pearl strands, they remain some of the sexiest, daring women alive.
Flappers helped pave the road for women’s fashion. They were known for shorter skirts, shorter hair, more makeup, and higher shoes. Flappers helped break through the walls of feminism and create a new attitude toward themselves.
Flappers are not the only ones to help recreate fashion during this period. Below are some iconic fashion designers the helped recreate fashion during the twenties.
Flappers are not the only ones to help recreate fashion during this period. Below are some iconic fashion designers the helped recreate fashion during the twenties.
Coco Chanel. Need I say more? She helped design a more comfortable, less restricting silhouette for women.
Marlene Dietrich was a German-American actress that helped redefine fashion for women. She defied the idea of femininity and beauty.
I posted this because not only do I adore the twenties, but tonight, I will be attending a murder mystery birthday party. It’s supposed to be set in New York in the 1920’s. I have been assigned the role of Margie Gorman and she is Miss America. :) SO excited for this party!
On my Polyvore, I have posted a few outfits that you can wear everyday to incorporate a bit of 1920’s into it!
Lots of love,

I Am Thankful for... Fall Colors
Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Americans! Isabel here and I hope you all had a great day being thankful and eating every food under the sun!
Today, (before changing into sweats to keep from exploding), I wore my houndstooth skirt again, because I love it's versatility. This time, I paired it with this simple, short sleeved, deep burgundy sweater
It is a very simple cut and style, so it paired nicely with the busy skirt. Also, it is the most perfect fall color. Well, it is one of them at least.
I wore a pearl bracelet and earrings and kept my nails bold yet appropriate for fall in OPI's City Sirens.
Any shoe could work from ballet flats to boots or even heels.
I left my hair down and curled.
Now I'm just lounging around in sweats and my cropped sweater.
Anyways, I hope you've gotten a little inspired and I honestly hope you had a fantastic, memorable day! Xxx.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello everyone! I am so happy to say that it is officially the beginning of holiday season! I can now listen to Christmas songs with no shame!
I am wearing a nude cami with an ivory top with a floral scarf and an army green skirt with black tights. I like the warm feel of the outfit. The straight skirt is perfect for my body type. I’ve always had a difficult finding skirts that I feel comfortable in. If you have bigger hips and/or butt like I do, then a straight skirt is perfect for you! The skirt isn’t tight or fitted at all, which helps refrain from drawing too much attention to your hips. With this skirt, it helps let your body naturally fill it out, without making you feel uncomfortable. The zippers on the skirt help add an army feel detail to the ensemble. The tights help keep me warm and make my legs look longer. The ivory shirt helps balance the color of the outfit. I wanted the green of the skirt to stand out. Lastly, I wore some black pumps.
As for accessories, I wore gold accents to help add to the warm feeling of the outfit. Once again, keeping it pretty simple. Simplicity is key to many of my outfits, so if you like to keep things simple, then my ootd’s are perfect for you!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Eat lots of food! I know I will!

Love you bunches,

The Nifty Fifties (Fashion of the 50s)
Hello to all! It is Isabel here posting on the 1950s.
I adore the 1950s with all my heart. Honestly, it is one of my favorite time periods. So many people seemed to dress impeccably and yet their taste was also modest. Not only was it an incredible time for fashion, but Hollywood was also on the rise.I love Hollywood so much and I think I would have loved it even more if I lived in the fifties. Some of my favorite movies and television shows were even out then. For example, I Love Lucy is a classic I will always have room in my heart for.
How can you not adore her hair here? It is classic fifties. |
You can't say they don't look absolutely spiffy. |
Some of the most enjoyable movies of all time were also released during this time! Not only was Disney's Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella released to the public, but other films such as Hitchcock's Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Dial M for Murder along with others from Roman Holiday to Some Like it Hot and Sabrina. Other films include The Seven Year Itch and To Catch a Thief. Please observe some of their outfits in these well known films. I have starred each actress's name that is wearing a classic 1950s ensemble:
Grace Kelly* and James Stewart. Rear Window |
Grace Kelly.* Dial M for Murder |
Audrey Hepburn.* Roman Holiday |
Jane Russel* and Marilyn Monroe.*

Last Minute Simplicity!
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely day! Today is my very first OOTD! I had quite a rushed morning and threw this on at the last second! Please keep in mind that this is my first ootd and it is Monday. Oh what a dreadful day. Can we please all agree to keep it off of calendars?!
Today I decided to keep it very simple, casual, and a bit warm. The weather was a bit chilly today, so I threw on a jean jacket to keep warm. Today, I wore a kelly green button up blouse with khaki pants and Sperry’s. I finished the look with a jean jacket for an overall casual, yet cute look. I kept most of my colors neutral (khaki, denim blue, beige) and then let the color of my blouse pop. With the kelly green of the blouse, it helped add a fun, colorful element to the outfit.
Now, some in the fashion world seem to dislike Sperry’s and almost write them off as “mainstream.” I, however, disagree. Although I don’t particularly like the glittery, sequined Sperry’s they have these days, I do love my Sperry’s. They are beige with a small cheetah print on the side of the shoe. With the print being so muted, it’s hard to tell it’s on the shoe, so it isn’t too flashy. The shoe itself helps give a casual, effortless feel to any outfit. Not to mention that they are so comfortable! Perfect for walking around school all day.
As for accessories, I also kept it simple with gold rings and earrings. Very simple.
To help personalize this look, I decided to come up with some ways to change the outfit to adapt to your own style!
For a more boho look, add long necklaces, bracelets, and add a beanie or fun headband. The key is to accessorize! With such a simple look, it’s important to add your own personal flare to it.
For an edgier look, ditch the Sperry’s and throw on some combat boots or worn Vans. Trade the jean jacket for a worn leather jacket, try a beige, neutral color. Try to add edgy accents, without overcomplicating the simplicity of the look.
For a more girly look, accessorize and play up other features. When you’re wearing more simple outfits, I find it fun to decide to try something different with your hair or makeup. It helps add a different element to your overall look without overdoing it.
I have also created a Polyvore account. For those of you who do not know what that is, it’s a website where you can create your own sets of outfits, etc. I will put in a link below for you to see my polyvore account and see the outfit I created for my ootd today! Please follow me if you would like to keep up with my ootd’s and inspired outfits!
I will also be doing a Thanksgiving post sometime before Thursday. Possibly tomorrow night. That’s all for today! All about last minute simplicity! I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading! :)
Lots of love,

Simple School Style!
Hello everyone! Isabel here and I could not be more excited about my first official post! Today was just a typical Monday in my world. For my first ever Outfit of the Day (or OOTD), I decided to put together an ensemble that was casual and sort of fun. It was perfect for school and I also think it would be appropriate for a leisurely day out shopping or lunch date. I decided on a houndstooth print skirt because I love the design and it was in simple black and white. The plain black top kept the outfit from becoming too busy. The cardigan was a nice addition of color to "mix it up" a little bit. Finally, I wore plain boots to draw more attention to the skirt. I hope you all love it!
